I totally agree on Ranger. I did my first play through with it, but stopped post mech due to a lack of fun interesting items. I’m currently on rouge for my second play through and it feels way better. Although I feel like using stealth strikes aren’t really worth it until you’re like post golem. Is that just me, or is it more of a general consensus?

the video is old and all but the last bit where you mention rolling forward and imputing downward is not what is displaying in the video.. you roll forward and continue to walk forward, difficult read.

Fighting this boss with Sword of Night and Flame is torture for me

The fire he spreads is everywhere during the second phase is actual cancer. The blood loss is enough of a gimmick, but the fire is just annoying

bro I use zweihander and with that heavy of a weapon you basically have to use a mimic or you cant really get any hits in in phase 1 I found phase 2 better because you have more openings but phase 1 is bs and I feel bad using mimic but zweihander is NOT beating that beast without mimic

i personally have done both ranger and melee playthroughs on expert and imo melee was more painful around pre providence, maybe thats cause i was just only using the hammers, but i personally had more fun playing on ranger and feel that it was easier, i feel like you still have high defense and can focus more on dodging attacks, but melee got really fun after DoG and was more fun than ranger after DoG

To those watching with the DLC: use Purifying Crystal Tear in phase 1 it'll mitigate damage going into phase 2, and use Mohg's Shackle in phase 1 which will help get in a few hits. Finally, as always, summon in some jolly cooperation lots of players out there ready to help.

The fight would be fine if he didn’t heal. Thats what annoys me. Dont make a boss incredibly tanky and then let them heal all that health with something you can’t even dodge. The attacks aren’t even that hard, it’s just the fact you have to hit him half a billion times to kill him.

I have tried blead and strength for this battle and I died over a 100 times trying to beat mogh yesterday and just now. The attacks are hard to dodge and the second phase, however you call it is also harder to tackle.. there is no easy guide, just dying for days until you have to cheat your way and wave the white flag. I need help beating this boss one way or the other.

Rogue is my favorite because I like the class could get killed easily but the reward for dodging attacks is a massive amount of dps. Summoner a close second because of the same reason but somewhat less dps.
